ABOUT SWEAT!
MISSION
Founded in 2006, SWEAT! in the City produces social, cultural and educational activities designed by and for Black LGBTQ persons interested and engaged in leather, fetish, BDSM and/or kink lifestyles and practices. SWEAT! represents the beauty, talents, strengths and diversity of the Black Leather community, as well as provide an informed and authentic perspective of these lifestyles for the broader community-at-large.
WHAT WE DO
SWEAT!, an annual Black Leather Pride Weekend in partnership with Pride in the City (NYC’s Black Pride celebration), offers a range of activities created by and for people of color in leather, as well as their friends and allies. The diverse weekend program offers everything from education to entertainment, as well as opportunities to volunteer; network; and enjoy the company of old and new friends. WHO MAKES IT HAPPEN
SWEAT! is developed and coordinated by a committed group of community members who are passionate about creating opportunities for people of color in leather to connect, learn from each other, and have fun. The team meets monthly to plan the weekend celebration and is always looking for people who want to be a part of making SWEAT! happen. To find out about more about joining the SWEAT! CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP AND ADVERTISING
Pride in the City attracts over 10,000 people annually and the event's affiliation with SWEAT! increases those numbers. Because all of the SWEAT! materials are also available to the Pride in the City attendees, joining the sponsorship team means your business or organization has the opportunity to reach several markets that are not normally in the same place at the same time.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS AND FRIENDS
You may not need to promote a business, but still have a desire to donate towards the weekend’s success. Community Partners and Friends support us in providing safer sex materials and other community giveaway items. You also help provide water, juice, and healthy snacks for our volunteers during the weekend’s festivities. And because SWEAT! is a project of Safer+Saner, your charitable donation is also tax deductible.

VOLUNTEERS
Have you been waiting for a chance to become more involved with leather activities? Are you interested in meeting others who share your fetish desires? Do you want to be part of the team of folks making things happen in leather?
